On voting
In the last presidential election, I voted for Nader. I chose to vote for Nader; my vote was not stolen from Gore; by doing so, I did not vote for Bush; I have no regrets. I am glad to see...

A vote is not a wasted vote, I believe, because our right to vote is a previous and important right. But a vote for Nader is, basically, one less vote for Bush's opponent. What is of more value: getting Bush out of the White House or voting from your heart? I'll take the former.

The argument that a vote for Nader is one less vote for Bush's opponent is based on the assumption that that vote would have been otherwise cast -- and I think that's a false assumption.
*This* election, I do agree that getting Bush out of the White House is the most important issue at hand, and I will vote accordingly.

Just to get this post back on track, Jake has some thoughts about photography and graffiti (more here) that feature the octopi gentlemen from your photo.
